Designing for Impact: Public Interest Alberta 2025–2026 Annual Report
For the Public Interest Alberta’s 2025–2026 Annual Report, I led the visual design, illustration, and publication layout, building a distinct visual identity that reflects the organization's mission and momentum.
Key Responsibilities & Highlights:
Visual Direction & Custom Illustration: Created a cohesive aesthetic using custom illustrations and structured information design to organize extensive campaign updates, including the province-wide Together – NO! referendum campaign.
Complex Data & Financial Storytelling: Translated multi-year financial statements, growth metrics (such as a 341% increase in individual memberships), and multi-task force goals into clear, digestible infographics and tables.
Cross-Functional Team Management: Coordinated closely with the entire office team, board members, and executive leadership to align messaging, gather content, manage revision rounds, and meet tight publication deadlines.
Transforming dense policy research, complex financial data, and high-stakes advocacy campaigns into an engaging, cohesive story requires more than just good layout—it takes strategic communication and cross-team collaboration.
The resulting report serves as a key communication asset for board members, sustaining organizations, and community partners, reinforcing transparency and inspiring collective action across Alberta.
